Individual therapy is offered to teenagers aged 12 and older, as well as adults. Psychoeducational assessments are available from Grade 1 through to adulthood.
For clients under 18, a parent or legal guardian completes the relevant intake and consent documentation, and Cathryne meets with the parent or guardian before the teenager's first therapy session.
Consent and confidentiality arrangements are addressed during the professional intake process, taking into account applicable legal requirements.
Fees for professional services are communicated as part of the enquiry or booking process.
Individual therapy fees are charged at Discovery Health rates.
The practice operates on a cash basis. Clients are responsible for paying the practice directly and submitting medical aid claims themselves.
Medical aid reimbursement depends on the client's available benefits and the medical scheme's requirements.
Clients remain responsible for fees that are not reimbursed or are only partially reimbursed.
Certain mental health conditions may qualify for funding under Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMBs), subject to medical scheme criteria and approval.
Eligibility, authorisation and funding decisions are determined by the medical scheme. PMB approval is not guaranteed.
More information about PMBs is available on the Discovery Health website .
Please provide at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Same-day cancellations may be charged in full.
Illness, emergencies and exceptional circumstances will be considered individually.
